Happendance Company contracts run from Sept. 3, 2025-August 16, 2026, with at least four 1-3 week breaks for the duration of the contract. Company members are contracted to be in rehearsal each week on Mondays from 10:00am-1:00pm, Wednesdays from 10:00am-2:00pm and Fridays from 10:00am-1:00pm. Each season brings new performance opportunities. In the 2024-2025 season, the professional company performed in eight public concerts and 15 in-school concerts. Company members may also have the opportunity to teach in the Happendance School and Education Exchange Program, which brings additional income.

Prospective company members must be over the age of 21 and submit a resume containing dance education, teaching, performance, and choreographic experience. The audition will consist of a short warm-up followed by modern/contemporary, jazz, and HipHop/Urban Dance movement phrases. Company dancers are versatile, however, most excel in one or two styles rather than all three.

Starting rehearsal pay rate is $15/hour and $100/performance. Each new season may bring cost-of-living raises if contracts are renewed. Company members asked to choreograph on the company receive $250 per piece. Company members who teach in the school or in the Education Exchange program have additional income opportunities.
